Since the rising popularity of 'behind the scenes' follow-up programmes to the programmes you've just been watching, it occurred to me that there's a whole section of people you never see in them; people like me, who just work in the Production office, never really go on shoots, without whom you'd never even get shoots. My name is Wylt and I'm a Production Co-ordinator in the TV industry. I'm also probably the only non-famous person in the industry that doesn't have a television, which should tell you something about me ;)

I wanted this blog to become a way to look back over the productions I've worked on to help me remember the good times when things are going to hell in a handbasket. Just, please, remember I love my job because I may not always sound like it (particularly at the moment). I don't have to wear suits, I can wear my Converse trainers every day, I don't have to look presentable (which is a damn good thing!) and my hair doesn't have to be coiffed to within an inch of its life. I can turn up for work late and not get told off. If I want a Starbucks coffee I can go and get one whenever I want. I can eat breakfast at my desk. If it's been a bad day and it's 5pm I can go to the pub and nobody minds. My name is Wylt and I'm a Production Co-ordinator and I love it.

Please also note that I cannot divulge any information about what we're filming (even assuming I hadn't signed the equivalent of the National Secrets Act) however much I might want to or however much you might want me to. Please don't ask. And please, please, don't take things I say in this as wrote. I work in a creative industry and sometimes I do make stuff up (it's called creative license)
